With 60 rooms, it is a small-scale hotel that blends into its surroundings and exudes a luxurious yet friendly atmosphere. We owe the name De Roode Schuur to the farm that has stood here for decades. This farm contained a shed with a red roof and since it was situated on the edge of Nijkerk and located on the main road at the time, it became a landmark. Many changes have taken place since then, but the name has always remained.

The Roode Schuur is located on the edge of Nijkerk, close to the beautiful nature of the Veluwe and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Those who like walking and cycling can indulge themselves here. Nijkerk itself has many restaurants and historic buildings and a town like Amersfoort is also only 20 minutes away by car, for those who want to shop or maybe want to visit the zoo. Animal lovers are in any case at home here, because the Dolfinarium Harderwijk is 25 minutes away by car. Sports enthusiasts can visit one of the golf courses near the hotel, including the Rijk van Nunspeet golf course (25 minutes by car).
