The Planetarium of the Royal Observatory of Belgium invites young and old for a special film experience at the Heysel in Brussels.

In this dome theater you don’t just watch a movie, you experience it. With a diameter of 23 m and 350 seats, the planetarium is one of the largest in Europe.

The planetarium takes you on a virtual journey between more than 100,000 stars and planets. Skim the surface of Mars, slalom between Saturn’s rings, experience a rocket launch up close, view Earth from space or visit the International Space Station.

After a visit to the Planetarium you look at the sky with completely different eyes. The Planetarium – a stone’s throw from the Atomium – is easily accessible by bus or tram.
